So, here’s a fun time. This Sunday come out to the Sixth Annual “Where’s Waldo 5K run/walk” in Everett. You can come dressed as Waldo, but certainly isn’t required. And the weather is going to be great, so get one last fall day of exercise and have a blast while doing it.
Dogs and strollers are welcome. The route narrows in parts, so if you have a dog or stroller, line up at the back. Entry is $10. You get a medal, free photos and, of course, the race. Strollers for the little ones don’t get medals unless you pay them and entrance fee.
This event is presented by Run 2 Be Fit dba PNW Ladies Running Group.
Here’s how it works:
9-945am packet pickup
10am 5k run/walk.
You do need to sign a waiver and here is the link: Waldo 5K Waiver
Pick up your packet(s) Langus Riverfront Park Trail (400 Smith Island Road, Everett, WA 98201)
You can pick up the bib, but participants must be present to redeem drink tickets (when applicable), medal, and other swag. Online registration will close on the Thursday before the race..
The race is approximately 3.1 miles and fairly flat. It does have a clock and manual timing. Results will be posted on the Facebook page as well as in an email. Please do not request results within a week – be patient!
There are limited water stations, and the race is not that long, but bring extra water if you think you might need it. They prefer no headphones for safety reasons, so use discretion.
The race benefits the Community Book Project. They also accept gently-used shoe donations with the ship to GotSneakers. Any of those proceeds go to the Everett Animal Shelter.
Many fun discounts and info will be available. So come have some fun before the monsoons are here.
