EVERETT, JULY 30: The highly anticipated entertainment and recreation venue at the Everett Mall is underway, and the city of Everett is inviting the community to share their comments by August 14.
The permit for the project includes a three-level building spanning 68,000 square feet on the south-east side of the mall next to the Regal Theater and LA Fitness. The building plans on taking over some of the parking lot.
The location will include a restaurant, bar and undisclosed entertainment, according to the city of Everett public notice.
There will be an 11-acre event space with golf hitting bays. The outfield will be equipped with electronic targets. The project requires a variance to address the proposed 170-foot net pole height. Rumors have surfaced that this location could be occupied by Topgolf but has not been confirmed by the city or project planner.
Mayor Cassie Franklin teased the changes for the Everett Mall at this year’s State of the City Address. Renderings of the proposed remodel depict an open and walkable mall. Franklin said that they plan to have the remodel done by 2026.

“People can comment about the proposed development, for example if there are factors or impacts that the City should consider in determining whether or not to approve the permit requests,” Simone Tarver, city of Everett spokesperson wrote in an email.

This year the Everett Mall welcomed the relocation of the Trader Joes in the old Sears building as well as HomeGoods, 1130 SE Everett Mall Way. They plan on welcoming At Home soon as well.
