EVERETT — Live music, a skate park, food, fermented beverages and Funko are featured this weekend in downtown Everett for the annual, Summer In the City, starting today.
For two days, Summer In the City, lines Wetmore Avenue between Hewitt Avenue and Everett Avenue, with the epicenter around Wetmore Plaza hosting a live music stage for seven performances Friday and Saturday, August 14-15.
Summer In the City prioritizes events for kids while including numerous experiences for parents and adults. For the children, there’s the Nerf Blaster Range with Planet Mynd Play Lab, a skate park hosted by DNA Skate School and Pops Skate Shop in front of the Funko HQ, basketball shoot-out, kids axe-throwing, and the yard games giant Jenga and giant Connect 4.
For adults, there’s a beer garden next to the concert stage featuring seven bands over the two days featuring:
- KateGory : 8/14 at 4:00 p.m.
- Blame Aphrodite: 8/14 at 6:15 p.m.
- Music Circle Collective: 8/15 at noon
- The Dance School: 8/15 at 1:30 p.m.
- Butter Notes Jazz: 8/15 at 2:30 p.m.
- Erin McNamee: 8/15 at 4:00 p.m.
- Aftershock-NW: 8/15 at 6:15 p.m.
Additionally, attractions at Summer In the City include Dick’s Drive-In Activity Booth, Pottery with Salish Sea Ceramics, Colby Ave Tattoo temporary tattoo booth, face painting noon-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, balloon artist 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Funko Activity Center, t-shirt design hosted by Brush & Bloom and a copious amount of nearby restaurants to choose from for food and beverages.
