EVERETT, AUG. 13: A new spiritual and wellness neighbor has joined downtown Everett.
Vision Quest Bookstore and Wellness Center has relocated from its previous location on Evergreen Way to the corner of Rucker and Hewitt Ave.
For more than 25 years, Vision Quest has provided psychic readings and energy healing treatments.
They offer all things metaphysical from crystals, tarot cards, herbs, candles, books and more. They also offer services from Reiki to tarot card readings.
Vision Quest officially opened their new location early August. Owner Becky Taylor said she’s excited to have neighbors.
This is the first time the store will be located downtown since opening in 1995.
“I just love being a neighbor, having neighbors and meeting people from stores and supporting their business,” Taylor said.
Taylor was a third-grade teacher in Atlanta, Georgia for nearly 10 years before she took over Vision Quest in 2011. She had always wanted a shop like Vision Quest and when she got to Everett, everything fell into place.
“I just decided to move out here and open a store, and it worked out that within 10 months, someone told me a metaphysical store was on sale in Everett. So I checked it out, and well, it all happened,” Taylor said.
Taylor said that customers range from all across the board. Many just come in seeking unique gifts.
The store is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and located at 1319 Hewitt Ave.
Vision Quest offers a variety of different services from Reiki healing, mediumship, lip readings and past life regression. There is a tarot reader in the store daily except on Mondays.
Unsure about Vision Quest? Taylor says to just “come check it out.”
“I think a lot of people think spiritual, metaphysical might be kind of dark and spooky or scary,” Taylor said, “ But when they come in, they realize ‘no, it’s not like that at all’.”
