EVERETT, AUG. 7: Although all votes have yet to be counted, current Mayor Cassie Franklin and opponent Scott Murphy appear to be moving on to the general election in the race for Mayor of Everett.

As of Thursday, Aug. 7, 23% of ballots of been returned out of more than 475,000 registered voters in Snohomish County.

The two candidates with the highest votes in each race will move on to the general election on Nov. 4.

The Snohomish County Auditor’s Office will certify the results by Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Here is where the top two candidates in each race currently stand as of 10 a.m., Aug. 7. Names in bold are currently leading:

Everett Mayor:

Incumbent Cassie Franklin 5,425 votes, 34.87%

Scott Murphy, 5,488 votes, 35.27%

Everett City Council, Dist. 1

Sam Hem 1,398 votes, 31.87%

Erica Weir, 1,223 votes, 27.88%

Everett City Council, Dist. 2

Incumbent Paula Rhyne 1,918 votes, 56.56%

Ryan Crowther, 1,345 votes, 39.66%

Everett City Council, Dist. 4

Alan Rubio, 489 votes, 32.89%

Niko Battle, 629 votes, 42.30%
