EVERETT, SEPT. 17: A grassroots movement created by local business owners and creatives aims to reinvigorate the nightlife scene in Everett.
“Downtown Everett Late Shift” is a citywide nightlife platform that promotes events after dark, with the goal of making the city a go-to destination for nightly happenings.
“It’s more than just nightlife. Late Shift is reimagining downtown as a walkable, vibrant, and safe destination where locals and visitors can explore, connect, and enjoy their nights,” the Late Shift website said.
The movement was organized by Everett Music Initiative, an organization that runs popular events like the Fisherman’s Village Music Festival and Music at the Marina.
A lineup of events is currently on the calendar for the weekend of Sept. 19.
But the featured event is a monthly celebration on the first Friday of each month, where participating businesses will offer something special such as live music, pop-up art, and more.
The First Friday monthly series officially kicks off Friday, Oct. 3, with APEX Everett, Apollo Exos, Obsidian Beer Hall and more participating.
Got something happening after dark? If you are a venue, artist, or host, submit your event details here to join the Late Shift lineup.
