Two dead, one injured in Everett shooting

EVERETT, SEPT. 23: Everett Police are investigating a shooting that happened yesterday afternoon in south Everett that left two deceased and one in the hospital.

At approximately 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 officers responded to gunshots at Park View Apartments on the 1100 block of W. Casino Road. When they arrived, they located one deceased male and a female with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses on the scene helped officers identify the suspect and learned the suspect fled the scene. By 1:40 p.m. officers located the suspect and began a pursuit near 19th Ave. SE and El Capitan Way, following the suspect onto I-5 North.

After a short pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed near milepost 190. Shortly after the crash, police heard gunshots from the vehicle. Officers approached the car and found the suspect deceased.

The situation closed both I-5 North and South until roughly 3 p.m. when I-5 South was reopened.

All northbound roads were cleared by 9:18 p.m. according to the Washington State Department of Transportation on X.

This is an ongoing investigation.
