The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, at Snohomish Station Shopping Center, 2621 Bickford Ave, Snohomish. Community members are invited to stop by, pick up a flyer listing the most urgently needed items, and donate to help neighbors as they recover.

VOAWW volunteers will be stationed outside Fred Meyer to share information and collect donations. Donations purchased from other stores within the plaza, as well as from outside of Snohomish Station, are welcome.

Items being collected include new, unwrapped Christmas gifts, gift cards (grocery stores, hardware stores, gas stations, and outlet stores), socks, gloves, hats, hygiene items and toiletries, and blankets. All donated items must be new.

“This historic level of flooding has left many of our neighbors facing immediate and unexpected needs,” said Kristi Myers, Chief Operations Officer at Volunteers of America Western Washington. “We are grateful to partner with Community Transit, Snohomish County, Fred Meyer, and Evans Wakefield at Snohomish Station to make it easy for the public to come together and support families as they begin to recover. Our Stuff the Bus event gives the community a simple, tangible way to help families regain stability and dignity during a very difficult time.”
