Congratulations to the KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete for November 2025; Senior Claire Butler of the Glacier Peak Grizzlies Swim & Dive team.
After an elbow injury ended her gymnastics career at age 13, Claire turned her attention to the diving board and that culminated in a Class 4A State Diving Championship at the state meet in mid-November. On her way to the top of the podium at the King County Aquatics Center, she made stops at fifth place her freshman year; and finished behind former teammate Addy Farman her sophomore and junior seasons. It was her turn in 2025. Butler, takes several AP level courses and does volunteer work. She is undecided where she will dive collegiately and has plans of studying either astrophysics or astronomy.
