An outstanding senior season was the culmination of an outstanding high school career for Reed Nagel. By the end of the 2026 4A State Basketball Tournament, Nagel had started 12 games at the Tacoma Dome; and his Glacier Peak teams finished third, third and sixth place over those three years. The senior point guard averaged 16 points (hitting 46% on three-point shooting and 55% on two-point field goals). He also averaged five rebounds and 6.5 assists in his senior campaign. Reed was named to the 4A all-state tournament team and the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (WIBCA) all-state team. He was instrumental in the Grizzlies’ 21-0 start in 2025-26. While carrying a 3.4 gpa, he is keeping his options open regarding playing at the collegiate level; he hopes to study finance. Head boys basketball coach at Glacier Peak is Brian Hunter; athletic director is Rory Rosenbach.
