Sienna Capelli led Snohomish to the 3A State Semifinals averaging 19.9 ppg with 8.5 rebounds per game. The Panthers entered the state tournament as the number two seed and defeated Stanwood in overtime on the second day at the Tacoma Dome. Snohomish lost to eventual state champions Eastside Catholic in the semis and lost to Roosevelt on Saturday to secure the 5th place trophy. In the overtime win over Stanwood, Sienna scored 30 of the Panthers’ 41 points; gathered 10 rebounds, had three blocked shots, three steals and three assists.
Capelli carried a 3.5 GPA and will continue her career at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Head girls basketball coach at Snohomish is Ken Roberts; Athletic Director is Zach Ward.
