MARYSVILLE — Ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas, the annual Marysville Police Officers Association (MPOA) Coat Drive begins this Saturday at Kohl’s in Marysville to collect and distribute new coats, jackets and winter gloves for kids and families in need.
The MPOA is partnering with the Marysville Community Food Bank & Toy Store to join forces with the Marysville Kohl’s location at 3713 116th St. NE this Saturday, November 7th, and the following Saturday, Nov. 14th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public is urged to help make a donation of new coats, jackets and winter gloves in youth and teen sizes to properly equip kids from infants to high school teenagers. Monetary donations can also be made at the Kohl’s location on those dates/hours as well. The monetary donations will be used to purchase necessary winter clothing for those kids and families in the Marysville-Tulalip area.
The Marysville Police Officers Association says,”A simple donation can make a big difference for a local family this winter. Together we can keep our neighbors warm this winter. Thank you to everyone who helps make this longstanding tradition of giving possible.”
