KRKO Russell and Hill Male Athlete of the Month-March 2020-Tyler Linhardt-King’s High School

King's High School Basketball Player Sophomore Tyler Linhardt is our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month for March 2020. Tyler scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in King's 70-67 overtime win over Lynden Christian in the 1A State Championship game in Yakima on March 7th. He scored 22 points including the game winning shot with less than 2 seconds remaining in King's 70-67 overtime victory over Seattle Academy in the state semi-final game. KRKO Russell and Hill Female Athlete of the Month for March 2020-Hailey Hiatt of Arlington High School

Arlington High School Basketball Player Junior Hailey Hiatt is our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Athlete of the Month for March 2020. Hailey led the Eagles basketball team to a 24-3 record and a Third Place Finish in the Class 3A State Tournament last month in the Tacoma Dome. She played a huge role in the Eagles’ come-from-behind 50-49 win over Shorecrest in the quarterfinal game with 17 points and twice scored clutch go ahead buckets in the final minute of the game. KRKO Russell and Hill Male Student Athlete for February 2020-Matthew King of Glacier Peak

Matthew King of Glacier Peak Swimming is our KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month for February 2020. King set two state meet recorders (both held by Newport's Ugur Taner from 1992) in the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle races at the State Championships in Federal Way. His time of 43.24 in the 100 broke the previous state record by .49 seconds and was an astounding 2.72 seconds ahead of the 2nd place finisher. KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete for February 2020-Kiley Hubby of Lake Stevens High School

Congratulations to our KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Female Athlete of the Month for February 2020. Lake Stevens wrestler Kiley Hubby. Kiley won her second career wrestling state championship when she pinned her opponent in the 2nd round of the 170 lb title match in the Tacoma Dome in February. She also won a 145 lb state championship as a sophomore in 2018. She also has a second place finish (2019) and a third place finish (2017) during her state career.
