Congratulations to our KRKO Radio Russell and Hill Male Athlete of the Month for April 2020, Owen Bishop of the Arlington High School Class of 2020. Owen was the Western Conference Baseball Player of the Year in 2019, and was expected to repeat in 2020. An outstanding pitcher and outfielder; his pitching stats last year: 8-0 with a 0.68 ERA; 85 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings and ops batting average of .136. Congratulations to our KRKO Radio Russell and Hill Female Athlete of the Month for April 2020, Emilie Henningsen of the Glacier Peak High School Class of 2020. Emilie is heading to the University of Oregon to join their top-ranked Acrobatics & Tumbling Team. The Ducks won 4 consecutive National Championships from 2011-2014. Emilie was originally a gymnast with Cascade Elite Gymnastics where she attained Level 10 status. King's High School Basketball Player Sophomore Tyler Linhardt is our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month for March 2020. Tyler scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in King's 70-67 overtime win over Lynden Christian in the 1A State Championship game in Yakima on March 7th. Arlington High School Basketball Player Junior Hailey Hiatt is our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Athlete of the Month for March 2020. Hailey led the Eagles basketball team to a 24-3 record and a Third Place Finish in the Class 3A State Tournament last month in the Tacoma Dome.
