Russell and Hill Female Athlete of the Month-November 2019-Mia Chang

Congratulations to the November 2019 recipient of the KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month, Jackson High School Swimmer junior Mia Chang. Mia brought home two state championships from the Class 4A State Swimming & Diving Championships held at the Weyerhaueser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. She won the 100-yard backstroke by finishing 1.7 seconds in front of the rest of the field (Her time was :54.54). The November 2019 recipient of the KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month is Lakewood High School Football Player senior Riley Krueger. Riley played linbebacker for the Lakewood Cougars team that went all the way to the Class 2A Quarterfinals before losing to the defending state champions Hockinson Hawks 29-28. In the Cougars’ District win over Liberty, he set the school record with 22 tackles. But, Riley is much more than just a football player.
