Everett Animal Shelter receives $20,000 grant from nonprofit

EVERETT, JUNE 24: The Everett Animal Shelter (EAS) is set to receive a $20,000 grant investment from the national nonprofit Petco Love in support of their work for pets in Snohomish County.

“Our investment in the Everett Animal Shelter is part of more than $12M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” president of Petco Love Susanne Kogut said in a press release.

For more than 30 years, EAS has united and supported pets and their people through adoption, lost pet reunions and community resources. Caring for more than 1,500 dogs each year, according to the press release.

“We are incredibly grateful for Petco Love’s support of the work we do,” manager of Everett Animal Services Glynis Frederiksen said. “This lifesaving investment will further increase our capacity to provide care to pets in our community.”

Petco Love is a national nonprofit founded in 1999 and has invested nearly $421 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. Petco Love also helps find homes for pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations across North America.
