EVERETT, FEB. 14: GeekFest West will be returning to downtown Everett and the Angel of the Winds Arena this summer for three days of celebrating Gaming, Entertainment, Electronics, and Knowledge, aka G.E.E.K.
Courtyard Media Foundation, a Snohomish-based nonprofit, debuted GeekFest in 2024 and reported a total attendance of more than 8,000 guests for the three-day event. In 2025, they are looking to expand the festival even further, becoming the largest “geek event in Snohomish County”.
GeekFest will run three days, Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20, and plans to offer a wide variety of entertainment. Including Geektopia, the primary vendor hall, the Gadgeteers’ Galleria Street fair outside the arena, and a new event, the Galactic Timewarp retro film series held at the Historic Everett Theatre.
The Galactic Timewarp film series marks a new three-year partnership between GeekFest and the Historic Everett Theatre, indicating GeekFest intends to become a downtown Everett mainstay each July.
“We are thrilled to bring back GeekFest West for a second year at this fantastic venue. Last year, we welcomed over 8,000 guests, and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees requested the addition of Retro Movies to the event. We have listened to this feedback, and we are excited that Curtis [Shriner, Historic Everett Theatre Owner] and his team have secured some of the best Geek Retro films for this year and for future years to come,” Courtyard Media Foundation President and Geekfest Event Organizer, Nathan Mumm said in a press release.
GeekFest has released the film lineup, including crowd favorites such as “Ghostbusters”, “Top Gun”, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”, and films from the original Indiana Jones trilogy.
In addition to the Galactic Timewarp, the festival hopes to add indie board game rentals, private suites for community meetups, guest speakers, panels and more to the docket.
Exhibitors can apply for booth space at the official GeekFest West website, but the site encourages early sign up as vendor spaces sold out in 2024.

Single day badges can be purchased for adults and children 5 to 15 years old. A three-day VIP Badge is also available for all ages.
