EVERETT & MARYSVILLE, NOV. 8: The two right lanes of Northbound Interstate 5 will close nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, Nov.11 beginning near Marine View Drive.

The closures will continue through Friday morning, Nov. 15. Two left lanes will remain open during the construction.

Contracting crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will conduct electrical work on the Snohomish River and Union Slough bridges.

This work is part of WSDOT’s project to add on-and off-ramps connecting I-5 and State Route 529 in Marysville.

The project is to address congestion at the I-5/SR 529 interchange and on I-5 between Everett and Marysville. WSDOT will build a roundabout at the interchange, new ramps from NB I-5 to SR 529 and SR 529 to SB I-5.

Both on-and off-ramps should be completed mid next year, 2025.

Those traveling between Everett and Marysville northbound and southbound I-5 or SR 529 should plan for future nighttime lane reductions between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.
