EVERETT, DEC. 12: Wednesday night, Everett police responded to shots fired in south Everett near Silver Lake, resulting in one man killed.

Around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of gunshots. When officers arrived at the 1700 block of 121st Street SE, they located a male with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Officer Natalie Given. 

Police administered lifesaving efforts, but the male died on the scene. 

A K9 track was initiated to attempt to locate a suspect. The search was terminated, and no one is currently in custody, Given wrote. 

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and are continuing to collect and process evidence. 

Everett Police are currently searching for the suspect as of noon today, Thursday Dec. 12. This is a developing story.
