EVERETT & SNOHOMISH, DEC. 31: A fatal head-on car crash between Snohomish and Monroe has left two drivers deceased.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at 6:36 a.m. Tuesday morning to US 2 near Milepost 6 between Snohomish and Monroe. The drivers of both the vehicles died at the scene according to a press release from the Snohomish County Fire District #4.
The roadway remains closed in both directions between State Route 9 and 88th St. in Snohomish as Washington State Patrol investigates the crash.
“On this New Year’s Eve, we ask that everyone do their part and drive safely. Remember, your actions affect far more people than just you,” the release said.
The cause of the crash is still unknown at this time.
