Congratulations to the KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete for September 2025; Senior Laura Eichert, Lake Stevens Volleyball.
Laura is a 6′ 0″ Outside Hitter and has been gathering accolades throughout her career. 2024 Washington State Gatorade Player of the Year; Named as one of 18 players nationwide to play in the Under Armor Next All-American Game, to be played on January 1, 2026 in The Venue at University of Central Florida in Orlando. She is a member of the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program and a two-time All-State player as a sophomore and junior.
Lake Stevens is currently 17-0 on the season including a three-set sweep on September 29th at defending state champ Curtis, the team that was ranked #1 in the state at the time.
During her tenure, Eichert has helped Lake Stevens to three straight Top 4 finishes at state: Second as a freshman and fourth as both a sophomore and junior. Mom, Lynne, is a former college player and is on the LSHS coaching staff. Sister, Katelyn, is currently playing at Westminster University and was influential in Laura’s volleyball development.
Ranked as the 26th best volleyball prospect by PrepDig.com; Laura carries a 3.9 GPA and recently committed to play at the University of Oregon. Head Volleyball Coach at Lake Stevens is Kyle Hoglund; Director of Athletics is Jason Pearson.
