EVERETT, MAY 7: The City of Everett, Everett neighborhood associations and community partners Rubatino Refuse Removal Inc. and Everett Public Schools are teaming up for Clean Everett Day on Saturday, May 30, 2026. From 10 a.m. -1p.m., community members are invited to take part in this citywide “spring clean” effort by rolling up their sleeves and showing pride in their neighborhoods through hands-on volunteer projects.
This annual community event brings neighbors together to help keep Everett clean, safe and welcoming. Residents will have the opportunity to volunteer to pick up litter and debris throughout the city, as well as drop off unwanted items for disposal at one of four collection locations:
- Cascade High School
- Lowell Elementary School
- North Middle School
- Sequoia High School
Cascade and Sequoia’s collection locations will also accept yard waste. A list of items that are not accepted can be found at everettwa.gov/clean.
“Clean Everett Day is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community,” said Mayor Cassie Franklin. “By volunteering our time and caring for our shared spaces, we’re helping keep Everett a place we’re all proud to call home.”
Clean Everett Day is a great way for individuals, families, community groups and businesses to make visible impact while connecting with their neighbors and showing pride in the community.
“We are excited to host Clean Everett Day again this year with leadership and volunteer support from our neighborhood associations and community volunteers,” said Lisa Syravong, administrative coordinator. “Everett is a beautiful, vibrant city, and this event is an opportunity for residents to drop off household items and yard debris at no cost.”
Dropping off unwanted items and yard waste is just one of many ways to get involved in this year’s Clean Everett Day. Residents can also organize their own neighborhood cleanups, join an existing effort or volunteer at one of the four collection sites. Volunteers ages 15 and older are still needed to support cleanup activities, including assisting teams with trash disposal and helping monitor collection locations.
