EVERETT, JUNE 13: Parents, former students and neighbors bid good-bye to Jackson Elementary School yesterday in a final opportunity to do so before the last day of the school year on Monday..
Jackson Elementary is being demolished this summer to rebuild a new facility for Everett Public Schools.

The new Jackson Elementary School building is on track to open for students in September to start the 2026-27 school year. Once students transition to the new facility, the original school will be demolished to make room for a new gymnasium, bringing final completion to the campus by summer 2027, according to Everett Public Schools.

Jackson faculty, staff and students have one more day to say their final goodbyes on Monday for the last day of school which will have a two hour early dismissal.
