EVERETT — The first suspect ever arrested with the help of Everett Police’s drone camera has been arrested again on a new charge less than a year after being arrested the first time.
The Drone as First Responder spotted the same adult male after the suspect fled police who were investigating possible drug activity in South Everett, according to a police report. South patrol contacted two men reportedly slumped over in a vehicle in the 1000 block of 100th St SE. Officers noted drug paraphernalia clearly visible inside the vehicle. When the occupants were told they were detained, one male fled from the passenger seat. He attempted to hide in a heavily wooded area nearby, but he was quickly located by a police-operated drone using thermal imaging.
The male was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Loitering for the Purpose of Engaging in Drug-Related Activity, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer, and his outstanding warrant. This arrestee was also the first person that DFR assisted in apprehending when he was caught shoplifting from Target, at 405 SE Everett Mall Way, in late 2025.
In other notable Everett Police arrests this week, North patrol responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a storage unit facility in North Everett. During the dispute, one male produced a revolver and fired multiple shots. The male suspect left the storage unit in a vehicle but was quickly found by patrol and arrested. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1 and Aiming or Discharging Firearms.
A domestic violence suspect was arrested with the help of a neighboring jurisdiction’s license plate reader camera system, according to Everett Police. In that case, South patrol responded to a disturbance in Silver Lake. Upon arrival, neighbors reported to officers a loud argument between a male and female. Probable cause was developed to arrest the male for Assault 2 Domestic Violence and Unlawful Imprisonment Domestic Violence. The male fled the apartment before officers arrived, but officers were able to collect suspect vehicle information. The male was located and arrested the following day by a neighboring jurisdiction using license plate readers and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
Officers responded to a report of a car prowler near Everett High School. A suspect was pointed out by witnesses, and he was promptly detained by police. It was determined he unlawfully entered and took items from two vehicles. At the time he was detained, officers noted he was wearing clothing belonging to two separate victims. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Vehicle Prowling 2 (2 counts) and Theft 3 (two counts).
