2025 State Basketball Tournaments: Snohomish County Recap

Tacoma, March 5th-8th: The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 2025 Boys & Girls State Basketball Tournaments took place last week in Tacoma, WA. The big schools (4A & 3A) were at the Tacoma Dome; the medium-sized schools (2A & 1A) assembled at the Yakima County Sundome; the smaller schools (2B & 1B) took to the court at the Spokane Arena.

4A BOYS

  • Glacier Peak Grizzlies (23-5) took home the Third Place trophy for the second consecutive year.
  • Josiah Lee was named to the First Team 4A All-Tournament Team. Jo Lee will play college basketball at Le Moyne College in Syracuse NY next year.
  • Arlington competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

4A GIRLS

  • Glacier Peak Grizzlies (21-9) took home the Fifth Place trophy.
  • Brynna Pukis was named to the First Team 4A All-Tournament Team. Brynna will play college basketball at Long Beach State next year.
  • Samantha Thoma was selected to the second team.
  • Lake Stevens competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

3A BOYS

  • Edmonds-Woodway Warriors (26-3) lost to Rainier Beach in the 3A title game on Saturday and took home the Second Place trophy.
  • Cameron Hiatt was named to the First Team 3A All-Tournament Team. Cam Hiatt will play college basketball at Dartmouth College in Hanover NH next year.
  • Monroe competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

3A GIRLS

  • Meadowdale and Stanwood both competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

2A BOYS

  • Lakewood competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

2A GIRLS

  • Archbishop Murphy Wildcats (25-3) took home the Fourth Place trophy.
  • Celine Wright was named to the Second Team 2A All-Tournament team.

1A BOYS

  • King’s competed in the state tournament, but did not place.

1A GIRLS

  • King’s Knights (20-8) took home the Second Place trophy.
  • Kaleo Anderson was named 1A Girls Tournament Most Valuable Player.
  • Cat Ellard was named to the All-Tournament Second team.

1B BOYS

  • Tulalip Heritage Hawks (23-5) took home the Fourth Place trophy.
  • Davien Parks was named to the First Team 1B All-Tournament team.
