EVERETT, MAY 5: The fifth annual Everett 3on3 Basketball Tournament will return to Everett on July 18 and 19, but not in the heart of downtown Everett. Instead of spanning several blocks of Colby Ave, this year the tournament is moving to Everett Community College, with games on outdoor courts and inside the Walt Price Student Fitness Center.
According to a press release distributed by the Snohomish County Sports Commission, Boeing is once again the presenting sponsor with Amazon returning as a major sponsor.
“Everett is more than where we build airplanes — it’s our community,” said Bill McSherry, Boeing Vice President of State Advocacy & Global Engagement. “We’re proud to support the Everett 3on3 because it brings people together and celebrates the spirit of this city.”
“Boeing’s foundational support, along with the City of Everett, Snohomish County, Everett Community College, and the whole Everett community, makes this event even more meaningful,” said Eventuris principal, Rick Steltenpohl. “We’re excited to welcome teams and fans from throughout the Pacific Northwest for this fantastic basketball weekend.”
Boeing 3on3 promises hundreds of basketball games, activities for attendees of all ages, and numerous food trucks that, “will showcase Everett as a premier destination for outstanding basketball.”
“Everett 3on3 is one of our city’s favorite summer traditions,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “We’re excited to bring that energy and momentum to North Broadway – creating even more opportunities to connect and explore everything Everett has to offer. We’re grateful to Boeing and Eventuris for their ongoing partnership which makes this
tournament possible.”
Team registration is now open at everett3on3.net. The first 30 teams that sign up will receive $30 off the normal team fee by entering the promo code $30FOR30 at checkout. The event also has opportunities for volunteer work and is accepting applications for food trucks or vending operations at the tournament.
