
EVERETT, FEB. 12: Everett Public Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) program announced a new partnership with Pierre Auto Group to enhance educational opportunities for students interested in the automotive industry.
“The collaboration will provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to the latest automotive technologies, preparing them for a wide range of careers in the sector,” a press release from Everett Public Schools said.
Everett Public Schools’ CTE program prepares students with technical, academic, and 21st century skills for success in the workplace and further education. Through partnerships, the program provides relevant industry certifications and learning experiences.
The partnership with Pierre Auto Group, which began this month, will actively engage with the CTE program and automotive classes at Cascade High School. Students interested in the program at Everett High School or Jackson High School have transportation provided to attend the classes hosted at Cascade.
The collaboration includes providing vehicles, supporting instructors with up-to-date industry processes and facilitating guest speakers.
“This partnership is a significant step forward in providing our students with real-world experiences that align with current industry standards,” Anthony Anderson, director of Career and Technical Education said. “By working closely with Pierre Auto Group, we are equipping our students with the technical and academic skills necessary for success in the automotive industry and beyond.”
The partnership aims to prepare students for various roles within the automotive industry, including sales, human resources, and technical services positions. The program also offers summer internship opportunities at the Pierre GMC of Everett.
