EVERETT, JUNE 18: We’re a little more than two weeks out from the 4th of July and the Everett July Fourth Foundation is bringing the parade back to downtown Everett again for 2025.

The Foundation brought the parade back in 2023 after it was paused during the COVID pandemic. Now a community led and sponsored event, the parade relies mostly on community donations and volunteers to pull it off with the City of Everett providing support via Everett Police Department for security and planning assistance via the City’s Economic Development office.

Over 70 entries have signed up for the parade lineup this year, including memorable entries such as the Cossacks, Everett AquaSox, Snohomish County Fallen Heroes Banners, as well as local school JROTC, cheer, sports, and robotic teams.

The Foundation’s final efforts are drumming up volunteers to help staff the parade day-of. They need at least 30 volunteers to help in the staging area and staffing barricades. Volunteers can sign up at www.EverettJuly4th.org (via the Google form on the Volunteer tab of the website), or emailing [email protected].

The Foundation will be hosting two trainings at the Carl Gipson Center on June 26 and July 3rd (both Thursdays) from 7-8:15pm. The general training will be June 26, and then an “All Hands” briefing on July 3rd where volunteers will get a chance to practice using radios and hear from Everett Police Department officials.

Local Everettites Erika and Alan Stetson were parade volunteers in 2023 and 2024 and are participating again this year. From Mrs. Stetson, “Volunteering to help put on the parade is an easy and fulfilling way to give back to our community via an event that brings us all together around shared American ideals and spirit. My husband, Alan, and I have really enjoyed being part of this homegrown patriotic event and are looking forward to another successful parade this year!”
