BOTHELL — If you live in Snohomish County and have weekend plans south of the King County line, be aware of the full closure of all northbound lanes of I-405 from the Highway 522 interchange north to the Highway 527 interchange at the Bothell-Everett Highway.
From 10 p.m. Friday Nov. 6 to 5 a.m. Mon. Nov. 9 travel on northbound I-405 north of Highway 522 will require a detour route during construction through Canyon Park to tear down a pedestrian over-pass at the Highway 527 park and ride lot.
Drivers traveling northbound throughout the region should expect heavier traffic and longer travel times on northbound I-5 and through Bothell as drivers shift their routes during the closure. That includes drivers who use the surface streets in Woodinville and Bothell where northbound I-405 traffic will be shunted.
The following northbound I-405 ramps also will close:
- Northeast 128th Street on-ramp
- Northeast 132nd Street on-ramp
- Northeast 160th Street on-ramp
SR 522 on-ramps
- Northeast 195th Street on- and off-ramps (Exit 24)
- SR 527 off-ramp (Exit 26)
During the full closure, crews will remove a portion of the pedestrian bridge at the Canyon Park Park and Ride as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project.

The pedestrian bridge needs to be removed to make space for expanding I-405 through Bothell. Crews will build a new pedestrian bridge that will connect to the future Stride bus rapid transit station, which is currently under construction in the middle of the freeway. The new bridge will open in 2028.
Canyon Park Park and Ride closure, Nov. 6-9
The Canyon Park Park and Ride will temporarily close from 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9. Crews will also remove the elevator to the pedestrian bridge.
Pedestrians needing to cross I-405 can take Community Transit routes 106 or 120 or follow signs for the temporary construction shuttle.
All bus stops at the park and ride will close for the weekend, with bus service maintained along scheduled routes for alternative pick-up and drop-off locations. More information about the transit reroute is available on the Community Transit blog.
To help ease congestion and delays, people can use transit and park and ride options, be flexible about travel times and plan ahead using real-time traffic information. These choices can make a meaningful difference during major closures and help keep both travelers and highway crews safe.
