EVERETT, SEPT. 25: Everett Recovery Café will be hosting the second annual Snohomish County Recovery Coalition (SCRC) Recovery Day Celebration.
“As overdose and substance use continues to increase among Washington state communities, the vision of the Snohomish County Recovery Coalition is to bring recovery to the surface and make it accessible to all,” the release said.
During the celebration, the first-ever Recovery Ripple Award will be presented to Edmund Smith, founder of Holman Recovery Center. The event will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at the Everett Recovery Café, 1212 California St.
Community members are invited to explore the Café, learn about SCRC initiatives and enjoy a catered meal courtesy of Jeff’s BBQ. There will also be time to participate in constructive discussions surrounding recovery.
The Everett Recovery Café is a center for “individuals in recovery from the trauma of homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges…” The Café helps individuals through programs, activities and more.
Throughout the event, attendees will also have the chance to network, enjoy a dinner and refreshments, karaoke, raffles/drawings, and pick up educational materials on SCRC and Washington Recovery Alliance (WRA) membership.
Guest speakers include state representative Lauren Davis and councilmember Megan Dunn.
