EVERETT, JULY 11: Get your neighbors together for National Night Out Against Crime, a community partnership with law enforcement to raise awareness about crime in neighborhoods.
Each year law enforcement makes an appearance at neighborhood events to answer questions about crime prevention.
More than 16,000 communities are participating in the event on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
The City of Everett offers National Night Out visits from the police department, fire department, transit, Emergency Managment, Mayor’s Office and more.
Organizers are encouraged to register their event by Tuesday, July 29.
If you live outside of Everett limits, check with your local law enforcement agency to see if there are community events near you.
In unincorporated Snohomish County, the Sheriff’s Office is hosting several National Night Out events.
