MARYSVILLE, AUG. 22: The City of Marysville is asking water customers to voluntarily conserve water next week to ensure continued water access during scheduled construction.
A temporary shutdown of a primary water supply source is scheduled for late Wednesday, Aug. 27, through early Thursday, Aug. 28. A development project on 83rd Ave NE, North of Sunnyside School Road, will replace a culvert and lower water mains.
The city is asking residents to conserve water before and after the scheduled maintenance to help maintain adequate water levels.
Construction will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday and end at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Ways the city is asking for residents’ help:
- Turn off all irrigation systems.
- Reduce shower times.
- Limit water use to only what is needed for health and safety.
During this time, customers may experience fluctuations in water pressure as the city adjusts the distribution system to maintain service across all areas.
In addition to this development project, a section of 83rd Ave. Ne will be closed for construction until Friday, Sept. 12.
The city encourages commuters to plan ahead and follow the detour route along 87th Ave. Ne via 60th Street Ne and East Sunnyside School Road.
