EVERETT — Cougars and Rainbow Warriors will tangle at Angela of the Winds Arena in a pre-Thanksgiving non-conference men’s basketball game on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. involving Washington State University hosting the University of Hawaii.
The Division I Men’s basketball match will bring hoops and the hardwood to Everett’s home of hockey and the Silvertips. The game marks the arena’s first time hosting a Division I men’s basketball matchup.
The WSU Everett branch campus is located less than two miles from Angel of the Winds Arena, giving local fans, alumni, and students the opportunity to support these teams close to home while bringing the excitement of collegiate athletics to the heart of Snohomish County.
“We’re excited to bring Division I college basketball to Everett and give local fans the chance to experience it right here in their own community,” said Corey Margolis, Oak View Group’s General Manager at Angel Of The Winds Arena. “Events like this are what make our arena special, bringing our community together through shared experiences.”
Tickets are available at 10 a.m. October 21, 2026 at Ticketmaster.com. For additional event details, visit angelofthewindsarena.com.
The Washington State Cougars enter the 2026-27 season with a reloaded roster in a Pac-12 Conference that now includes Gonzaga for non-football sports. Under third-year head coach David Riley, WSU brings a pro-style offensive system with a blur of stretch positions to offer mismatches and scoring opportunities. WSU’s rebuilt roster includes Sebastian Akins, the 2025 Summit League Freshman of the Year, and Lazerek Houston, a high-scoring Division-II Conference Player of the Year from Central Missouri. Forward and Northwestern transfer Tyler Kropp will feature in the Cougars front court alongside returning WSU big Dominik Robinson and Oregon transfer Jamari Phillips.
