  The Wesco 3A Boys South Division title is on the line as the Shorewood Thunderbirds travel to meet the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors; Wednesday, February 4, 2026; Tom Lafferty and former Arlington coach Nick Brown have the call. KRKO Marysville Toyota Player of the Game was Warriors forward William Alseth who led all scorers with 14 points. Edmonds-Woodway defeats Shorewood 55-48 and heads to the league cross-over game as the #1 seed from the south division.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME: Boys: Marysville Getchell at Everett 1-27-26

Complete game broadcast: Western Conference 3A North Division Boys; Marysville Getchell Chargers at Everett Seagulls; Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Tom Lafferty and Darrell Olson on the call. KRKO Marysville Toyota Player of the Game was sophomore forward Henry Selders who had 14 points; the Seagulls defeated the Chargers 79-36. NOTE: It was also "Pink Out" Night at The Pit. The Everett High School Community honored boys assistant coach Shawn Madigan and his wife Jordan, who is currently battling breast cancer. EHS Principal Kelly Shepherd joined the broadcast at the end of the first quarter.

  High School Basketball Wesco 4A/Wesco 3A Cross-Over Girls game broadcast. Snohomish Panthers at Jackson Timberwolves; Thursday, January 22, 2026; Tom Lafferty and Alex Clausius on the call. KRKO Marysville Toyota Player of the Game: Snohomish Senior guard Sienna Capelli, scored 20 points to lead the Panthers to a 55-38 win. It was the Panthers 8th straight win.

Our KRKO Russell and Hill Male Student Athlete for November 2025 is senior wide receiver Henry Gabalis of the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats football team.   Henry was a four-year starter at several positions, including tight end, wide receiver and running back. He was part of the class that weathered the storm of an 0-8 season as freshmen, to a Class 2A State Championship as seniors. Henry scored a touchdown 2A State Championship Game at Husky Stadium; Archbishop Murphy defeated Tumwater 35-20. KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete-November 2025-Claire Butler-Glacier Peak Grizzlies Swim & Dive

Congratulations to the KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete for November 2025; Senior Claire Butler of the Glacier Peak Grizzlies Swim & Dive team. After an elbow injury ended her gymnastics career at age 13, Claire turned her attention to the diving board and that culminated in a Class 4A State Diving Championship at the state meet in mid-November.
