Lake Stevens quarterback Blake Moser hit wide receiver Seth Price with a 15 yard touchdown pass, with just 1 second remaining as the Vikings defeated the defending 4A state champions 31-28. KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Year-2024-25-Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles-Snohomish High School

The KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Year for 2024-25 is multi-sport athlete Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles of Snohomish High School. Gildersleeve-Stiles was a 10-time athletic letter winner while competing for the Panthers in volleyball, basketball and track & field. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she was Snohomish ASB Vice-President; National Honor Society member; 2025 Class Valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 GPA and was named homecoming queen. The KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Year for 2024-25 is multi-sport athlete Leyton Martin of Arlington High School. Martin was a 12-time athletic letter winner while competing for the Eagles in football, basketball and track & field. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, he was Arlington ASB Vice-President; National Honor Society member and 2025 Class Valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Ramon Little Wins Three National Titles

An update on our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for October 2024; ambulatory cross country runner Ramon Little of Arlington High School. Ramon finished second place at the 2024 State Cross Country Meet Ambulatory Race in the fall. We noted at the time that Ramon competed on a conventional lower leg prosthetic during the state meet; but had begun a series of fittings for a new cross-country running blade. KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month-May 2025-Ava Enriquez-Shorewood High School Track & Field

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for May 2025 is Ava Enriquez of the Shorewood High School Track & Field team. Ava recently won the Class 3A State Championship in the Pole Vault at the State 2A/3A/4A Track Meet at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma with a jump of 12’6”; one full foot higher than second place. Enriquez also won the event at the Oregon Relays and was named an All-American at the Nike Indoor Nationals held at The Armory in New York City. KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-May 2025-Erick Diaz-Granite Falls High School Track & Field

Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for May 2025; senior Erick Diaz from the Granite Falls High School Track & Field team. After finishing 8th in 2024; Diaz recently won the Class 1A Pole Vault State Championship at the State A/B Track Meet at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima with a jump of 14’3”; a full 3 inches higher than second place. Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for April 2025; senior Allie Thomsen from the Jackson High School Softball team. Allie was a member of two straight state championship teams, 2023 and 2024, but really got her chance to shine when she got to her senior year; hitting a robust .544; with an on-base percentage of .651 and slugging .949. Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for April 2025 is junior Jeshua Singletary of the King’s High School Track & Field team. Singletary recently won the Class 1A State 100-meter Dash Championship with a time of 10.81 (His personal best is 10.54). He finished second in the 200. Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for March 2025 is senior Saide Dorr of Cascade High School. Saide’s list of accomplishments is as varied as it is lengthy. On the athletics side, she played soccer, basketball and ran track & field (captain) for the Bruins all four years of high school.
