Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for October 2024; from the Jackson High School Girls Swim & Dive Team senior Olivia Hoyla. Olivia had a very busy State 4A Swim Meet in Federal Way; she placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.81); 3rd in the 200 individual medley (2:09.66); 3rd in the 400 freestyle relay (3:32.51) and 4th in the 100 backstroke (:59.03). KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-October 2024-Ramon Little-Arlington Cross Country

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for October 2024 is sophomore ambulatory cross country runner Ramon Little of Arlington High School. Ramon finished in second place at the 2024 State Cross Country Meet Ambulatory Race at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. He finished the course in 13:20; 23 seconds behind the three-time defending state champion Jacob Hopkins of Cascade (a previous KRKO Russell & Hill Athlete of the Month). Finally, we catch up with the head football coach at Anacortes, Justin Portz; the Seahawks won their second consecutive state 2A championship early this month with a 20-10 win over Tumwater.
