KRKO Russell and Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-September 2021-Dylan Carson-Marysville Pilchuck

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete for the Month of September 2021 is Marysville Pilchuck senior football player Dylan Carson. Dylan rushed for a state-leading and school record 2,671 yards (eighth all-time in the State of Washington); and a school record 46 all-purpose touchdowns (third best all-time). Defensively, Carson recorded 76 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 4 quarterback sacks.  Marysville Pilchuck advanced to the 3A State Semi-Finals and along the way set a school record with 427 yards rushing and 5 TDs in a 39-21 State Quarterfinals victory over #3 ranked Yelm. KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month-September 2021-Chloe Seelhoff-Glacier Peak

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete for the Month of September 2021 is Glacier Peak senior soccer player Chloe Seelhoff. Chloe led the Grizzlies to a 15-5 overall record; a Western Conference 4A Co-Championship and an appearance in the 4A State Quarterfinals. Seelhoff scored 15 goals and dished out 14 assists during the 2021 soccer season and was named second-team all-state. She has already signed to play soccer at the University of Washington next year. Head coach of Glacier Peak Girls Soccer is Melinda Torre.

High School Boys Basketball: Mountlake Terrace at Marysville Getchell 1/11/22

High School Boys Basketball for Tuesday, January 11, 2022. The Mountlake Terrace Hawks travel to meet the Marysville Getchell Chargers in a Wesco 3A match-up. Tom Lafferty and former Stanwood Coach Zach Ward have the call. The KRKO Allstate Insurance Good Hands Player of the Game is Terrace sophomore guard Jaxon Dubiel. He had 11 points, and hit an amazing buzzer beater from the center court logo to end the first half. Hawks win 66-29.

The Cascade Bruins travel to meet the Stanwood Spartans in Western Conference 3A Boys Basketball on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Tom Lafferty and former Everett head coach Darrell Olson have the call. Our KRKO Allstate Good Hands Player of the Game was senior Kolten Bartram-Scott, who ended the game with 18 points in Stanwood's 69-60 win over Cascade.
