KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month-December 2021-Ella Gallatin-Snohomish

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for December 2021 is Snohomish senior basketball player Ella Gallatin. Ella led the Panthers to a 4th Place finish in 2022 Class 3A Girls Basketball State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome. She was also a freshman starter on the 2019 Panther team that placed 4th at the state tournament. Gallatin was named First Team All-Wesco 3A as well as a First Team nod on the all-tournament team at the Tacoma Dome. She averaged 21 points per game; 8 rebounds and 4 assists per game in 2021-2022. KRKO Russell and Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-December 2021-Sylas Williams-Jackson

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for December 2021 is Jackson junior basketball player Sylas Williams. The 6' 6" junior was named First-Team All Wesco 4A for 2021-22 while he averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Timberwolves. Sylas led Jackson to an 8-1 record in the month of December; their only loss was a 3-point defeat to Curtis, the team that would go on to win the state championship. The WIAA/Gesa Credit Union Class 3A Girls State Basketball Tournament; Quarterfinal Round Game between The Snohomish Panthers and the Arlington Eagles; Thursday, March 3, 2022. Tom Lafferty, Joel Boyer and Steve Willits on the call, live from The Tacoma Dome. Our Allstate Insurance Good Hands Player of the Game was Arlington guard Keira Marsh; she scored 13 points; had 6 rebounds and dished out 4 assists in leading the Eagles to a 50-47 win and advanced Arlington into the semi-finals.

Our Allstate Insurance Good Hands Player of the Game was Snohomish guard Cheyenne Rodgers; it was her defense that led the Panthers to a 46-44 win and moved Snohomish into the quarterfinals.

The Class 3A Girls State Tournament Regionals; Saturday, February 26, 2022 featuring the Hermiston (Oregon) Bulldogs and the Everett Seagulls, live from Larry Walker Court, Walt Price Student Fitness Center at Everett Community College. Tom Lafferty, Coach Darrell Olson and Amp Harrell on the call. Our KRKO Allstate Insurance Good Hands Player of the Game was Hermiston freshman guard Izzy Simmons who scored 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs defeated the Seagulls 53-51.

KRKO Russell and Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-November 2021-Brandon Moore-Lake Stevens

Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete for the Month of November 2021, Arlington senior cross country runner Brandon Moore. Brandon finished in second place at the Class 3A Boys State Cross Country Championships held at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco on November 6th. He completed the course with a time of 15:34; eight seconds ahead of the third-place runner. (The State 3A Champion from Bishop Blanchet won by 17 seconds). KRKO Russell and Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month-November 2021-Mary Clarke-Snohomish

Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete for the Month of November 2021, Snohomish sophomore swimmer Mary Clarke. Mary won the Class 3A State Championship in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.51, held at the Weyerhaueser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. She also took second place at the state meet in the 100-yard freestyle; missing the state title by a mere .04 seconds; with a time of 51.19. The Snohomish Panthers took 12th place as a team.
