Our KRKO Marysville Toyota Player of the Game was Tight End/Kicker Aiden Larson who removed an ice bag from his injured leg, put on his helmet and hit the game-winning 31 yard field goal. Glacier Peak registered the upset win over Arlington 10-7.

He had 4 receptions for 100 yards, 1 touchdown, kicked two field goals and had 2 important "pooch kicks" that turned into point. Final Score: Mount Vernon 27, Snohomish 13.

KRKO Russell & Hill 2024 Male Student Athlete of the Year-David “Boogy” Brown-Lake Stevens High School

The KRKO Russell & Hill 2024 Male Student Athlete of the Year is multi-sport athlete and multi-sport state champion David Brown of Lake Stevens High School. “Boogy” was a wide receiver and defensive back for the back-to-back 4A state champion Vikings football team and he won a state championship in the 110-meter hurdles for the Vikings track team. Brown had 50 receptions for 817 yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior season; it culminated in Lake Stevens capturing their second straight 4A state title with a 31-6 victory over the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles at Husky Stadium. KRKO Russell & Hill 2024 Female Student Athlete of the Year-Yanina Sherwood-Jackson High School

The KRKO Russell & Hill 2024 Female Student Athlete of the Year is Jackson High School, multi-sport athlete Yanina Sherwood. A nationally ranked force in the pitching circle, Yanina pitched every inning during Jackson’s 2023 run to the State 4A Softball Championship (a 5-1 victory over Glacier Peak in the title game). In 2024 the Timberwolves did it again, with Sherwood pitching 167 innings, recording 273 strikeouts, while walking just 23 batters and compiling a microscopic 0.54 ERA.
