KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month-January 2024-Samara Morrow-Arlington Eagles Girls Basketball

Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for January 2024; senior guard for the Arlington Eagles Girls Basketball team, Samara Morrow. Samara averaged 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals per game for the Eagles. Leading Arlington to the Wesco 3A regular season title and a Class 3A State Tournament appearance at The Tacoma Dome, bringing home a fourth-place state trophy. KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month-January 2024-Jaxon Dubiel-Mountlake Terrace Boys Basketball

Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for January 2024 is senior guard Jaxon Dubiel of the Mountlake Terrace Hawks Boys Basketball team. Dubiel averaged 21.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.3 steals and two assists per game while anchoring Mountlake Terrace to 24-4 record and unbeaten run to a Wesco 3A title. Dubiel broke school records in all-time field goals in a season (204), single-season points (596), single-game points (40) and single-season steals (92). We start with Lake Stevens boys swimmers, who won the Class 4A 200 free relay: Camden Blevins-Mohr, Coren Coe, Sebastian Erickson and Samuel Lamb at the state swim meet in February at the Weyerhaueser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
